Acupressure Massage falls under the category of Qi Gong which is based in Traditional Chinese Medicine. This method of massage was developed by Chinese Physicians and martial artist over the course of several centuries. In China, there are clinics in which all ailments, from broken bones to colds and hepatitis, are treated exclusively with Acupressure Massage.
Elements of Health Acupressure Treatments are a holistic approach to massage therapy. From the top of the head to the tips of the toes we stimulate the same points and pathways used in acupuncture with touch instead of needles. We focus on balancing the life force (Chi) in the meridian system to prevent disease, relieve stress, balance emotions and promote wellness. Migraines, fibromyalgia and other symptoms are treated by adding specific techniques and points. For extreme pain conditions special oils and/or compresses may be used at extra cost. One hour treatment is $90.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a form of massage that stimulates the lymphatic system with gentle massaging strokes. It uses specific low speed, low pressure techniques, directly applied to the nodes and vessels of the lymphatic system to help eliminate metabolic waste products, excess fluid and bacteria.
Used in combination with Acupressure, and Hydrotherapy, MLD benefits are numerous and include:
Clearing areas of congestion such as swollen ankles or puffy legs; Treatment of lymphedema and other conditions arising from venous insufficiency; Improving chronic conditions such as sinusitis, arthritis, acne, and other skin conditions; and Deep Relaxation. One hour treatment is $115.
